A current Board member nominated by the Nominating Committee; Detective Olson is a member of the NRA Membership, Hunting & Wildlife Conservation, and Law Enforcement Assistance Committees, Past President Iowa Police Chiefs Association, and Vice President Iowa Sportsmen's Federation. Olson is Chairman of the Law Enforcement Committee, Iowa Rifle & Pistol Association. He serves on the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Firearms Committee and is a frequent speaker on gun rights issues. Olson is a Firearms and Hunter Safety Instructor, retired Police Chief, active Police Detective, NRA Life member, and Colt and Winchester collector. Member of Colt Collectors Association, Texas Gun Collectors Association, avid hunter and member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever; a Navy veteran, VFW Life member and Charter Life member, Law Enforcement Alliance of America. In addition to being a professional police officer, Olson has farm and ranch interests in Iowa, Arkansas and Missouri. Lance R. Olson was re-elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2001 for a 3 year term. |
