TOP PRIORITY: DEFEAT OF "LAUTENBERG"-STYLE GUN SHOW AMENDMENT IN U.S. HOUSE

      This week, all NRA-ILA FAX Alert recipients received the latest copy of NRA-ILA's fact sheet on the Lautenberg gun show ban amendment. With the U.S. House of Representatives reconvening next week from its Memorial Day recess, you can bet we will see action taken on this measure in earnest.

      It is critical that over the weekend and throughout the next two weeks, you saturate the pro-Second Amendment community with copies of this fact sheet, and urge everyone you can to call his Representative in opposition to any Lautenberg-style gun show amendment. If you need additional copies of the fact sheet, please contact the Grassroots Division. As we noted in last week's FAX Alert, these items are also available on our website and via the "NRA-ILA FaxLine" -- our 24-hour fax information system. This fight will ultimately be won by your continued, determined efforts in alerting your family, friends, and fellow firearm owners of the danger Sen. Lautenberg's (D- N.J.) amendment poses to our Second Amendment rights.
