GORE'S GAFFE

      This week, Vice President Al Gore showed that he is either unaware of federal firearm laws, or he is willing to lie in order to further his anti-gun agenda. While speaking before the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Gore stated that anyone between the ages of 18 and 20 "can walk into any gun shop, any pawn shop, any gun show, anywhere in America and buy a handgun."

      Of course, federal law has prohibited the purchase of a handgun from a Federal Firearms License (FFL) by ANYONE under the age of 21 since 1968. Whether unaware or intentionally lying, Gore's statement is just another reason why the Clinton-Gore Administration should not be trusted with our rights protected by the Second Amendment.
