COLORADO POLL SHOWS UNWAVERING SUPPORT
FOR THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS

While anti-gun Senators, with full support and guidance from the Clinton-Gore Administration, continue to use the tragedy in Littleton, Colo., to further their attacks on the Second Amendment, a recent poll conducted for the Denver Rocky Mountain News showed that Coloradans' opinions on firearms have not changed since the incident at Columbine High.

Compared to a similar survey that was conducted in February 1999, this most recent poll indicates the general public understands that legislative proposals that attack law-abiding gun owners and lawful activities are the wrong response to violent crime. In February, 66% of those questioned supported a shall-issue Right To Carry law. Now, 65% support such a law.

Also, the original poll showed 70% as believeing that gun ownership is a "basic right of all Americans," with that number now increasing to 75%. The national poll in on election day 2000 will show Congress that the voters believe in their right to keep and bear arms, and will hold those who sold out the gun owning community accountable fortheir actions.
