Bill Brewster, a Life member of the NRA since 1973, served in the Oklahoma Legislature (1982-1990), the U.S. Congress (1991-1997), and maintained a 100 percent NRA voting record. Brewster is an avid handgun, shotgun, rifle and muzzleloader hunter. He has hunted in more than 30 states and many foreign countries. Bill and his wife Suzie, (also an avid hunter), have developed the Washington Women's Shooting Club, an organization of more than 300 women. Brewster is an ardent and effective spokesman for Second Amendment rights, sport hunting, and believes that the NRA is the only effective voice for firearms ownership in the United States. He has the political experience and passion for firearms to be a very effective Board member. Brewster retired from Congress on January 3, 1997 at the age of 55. He is currently President of R. Duffy Wall & Associates, a prestigious Washington lobbying firm.

Bill Brewster was re-elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2001 for a 3 year term.
