John Cushman is a vigorous and unyielding fighter for the Second Amendment. Current NRA Board Member. Nominated by Nominating Committee and petition. Lifelong hunter, shooter. Created Legal Defense Fund to fight handgun licensing abuses. Organizes yearly Second Amendment Rally and Right to Carry conference in New York, defending gun rights and protesting prominent anti-gunners such as Charles Schumer and Hillary Clinton. Instrumental in getting five year renewable handgun licenses in New York. Created volunteer network to fight for pro-gun candidates. Challenges anti-gunners at speaking engagements with embarrassing questions about their antigun record. Defends individual firearms rights on radio, television, and newspaper.
