A Life member of the NRA for several years. Nominated by the Nominating Committee. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1941. Attended Texas A&M. A lifelong hunter, marksman, gun collector, and gunsports enthusiast. Openly strong advocate of Second Amendment rights and staunch supporter of the NRA. Beginning third year as Chairman of Friends of NRA in local area, generating an increasing interest and support of NRA. Held an FFL for several years. Served on the Board of Trustees for a major school district realizing, first hand, the importance of education and how vital it is to the NRA. Local historian, speaker, and Board member of Bosque County Historical Society. Has worked long to intensify gun safety training and education programs for youth and adults, promote establishment of NRA approved gun ranges and a concentrated regime to protect and preserve our Second Amendment. Mr. Carlisle was elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2002 for a 3 year term. |
