Michele Bartimus |
Michele began hunting at the age of six with her parents in rural Iowa. Her first gun was a .22 rifle, "on loan" from her grandfather. Rules had to be adhered to, and Mom's rule was "Never point a play gun, stick or any other object at a person or animal. Killing is never a game." Keeping this rule in mind, Michele learned to love hunting and the outdoors. Now, 35 years later, Michele recently became the first female to complete a World Turkey Slam in less than a year with black powder. Michele conducts seminars and guides hunts for Women On Target®, National Shooting Sports Foundation, B.O.W., Women In The Outdoors, 4-H Shooting Sports and hunter education programs. Michele works side by side with the outdoor print and television media as an advocate for our hunting heritage and wildlife conservation, ensuring the Second Amendment right of all children.
