2001 Annual Banquet
|
The 2001 Annual Members' Banquet was a festive affair,
with top recording artists Lee Greenwood and
Pam Tillis as well as comedian
T. "Bubba" Bechtel
providing quality entertainment. Bechtel declared emphatically "Bill
Clinton ain't a Bubba!"
Guest speaker Interior
Secretary Gale Norton restated
President George W. Bush's strong committment to protecting the
Second Amendment, resulting in a standing ovation.
But the greatest applause was received by an unannounced guest that
all members in attendence eagerly and energetically welcomed -
Florida Secretary of State
Katherine Harris.
