     Retired Supervising Judge, Los Angeles County Superior Court, Criminal Departments, following 20 years judicial service; former Deputy District Attorney, 11 years law enforcement officer, LA Marshal's Department; police combat shooter and department team captain; firearms instructor and gunsmith. Forty (40) year NRA Life member, avid lifelong shooter, hunter and advocate of the right of law abiding people to keep and bear arms. Accomplished firearms engraver; instructor, NRA Gunsmithing Schools, Trinidad College (Colorado) and Lassen College (California); Professional member, Firearms Engravers Guild of America; NRA Certified Instructor; past President TorRonDale Rod & Gun Club, active member Etiwanda Game Association bird dog training club. Judge Mills grew up on family ranches in California and was a rodeo competitor. During his experience as a judge, he developed a strong belief that the criminal use of firearms must be punished, while lawful and legitimate uses must be protected.

Judge Mills was elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2000 for a 3 year term.
