Causey
MIAMI, FLORIDA

Nominated for re-election by Nominating Committee. Don Causey has been actively involved in international gun control and gun transport matters since 1981 when he founded The Hunting Report, a newsletter for hunters who travel. As a former Executive Editor of Outdoor Life Magazine and a career outdoor publishing executive, Mr. Causey's travels and publishing activities have given him important insights into a largely overlooked gun rights "sneak attack" that has occurred since September 11, not just at international borders, but here in the U.S. at airline check-in counters, customs offices and freight docks, where hunters and shooters are finding it increasingly difficult to travel with firearms. He has amassed a great deal of information on this matter with an eye toward sounding the alarm; explaining the issues involved; identifying key trends and players; and assessing what strategies need to be employed to protect hunters' and shooters' rights to travel with firearms.

Mr. Causey was re-elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2003 for a 1 year term.
