     Nominated for re-election by Nominating Committee. Winner of dozens of court battles as lawyer for firearms owners, on a zero-fee basis, so that all lawabiding citizens (the potential victims of crime) throughout New York City and State can have the dignity of choosing to keep pistols in their homes without being forced to demonstrate to police bureaucrats any "need" or "reason"-such as political connections or celebrity status-as previously had been required. Leadership role in writing published articles on the Second Amendment and its vital relevance to the social, cultural, and urban conditions of the 21 st century. Speaker and debater: radio, TV, congressional hearings, and other teach-in forums educating college students, politicians, and the public on the fundamental importance of anonymous keeping of firearms. Currently: NRA Director; member, NRA Bylaws & Resolutions Committee. Listed in Who's Who in American Law. Endorsed by Association NJR&P Clubs.

Mr. Caplan was re-elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2003 for a 3 year term.
