NRA Benefactor and incumbent Director, Irv Benzion is a Nominating Committee and petition candidate. While Chairman of the Publications Policies Committee, was instrumental in making American Guardian NRA's third Official Journal. Irv authored NRA's How To Run A Gun Show Manual. Member of the core team of NRA Directors and Officers, Benzion assisted staff in design and construction of the Museum in Microcosm (MiM). In 1998 Irv organized an auction benefitting NRA/ILA, raising over $50,000. Key participant in the defeat of antigun Initiative 1- 676. Director of Washington Arms Collectors, NRA's second largest gun collecting affiliate, Benzion is the Managing Editor of that organization's 32 page monthly journal, GunNews. The GunNews was awarded NRA's Outstanding Newsletter Award, Magazine Format for 1997. Member of Washington R&P, Ohio Gun Collectors, Mannlicher Collectors, W.V.A.C.A. Political organizer and member of the press, Irv is articulate and effective speaking before legislatures, media, and the public. Mr. Benzion was re-elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2000 for a 3 year term. |
