Nominated by NRA Nominating Committee; appointed by Michigan's Governor Engler as Legislative Liaison to the Department of Natural Resources; served 12 years as General Counsel to the Michigan United Conservation Clubs, representing 470+ hunting/fishing nonprofit organizations; lead counsel on statewide impact litigation; worked with legislature on hunter/firearms issues including carry concealed reform; Michigan Sport Shooting Range Protection Act; putting Eddie Eagle® GunSafe Program in Michigan schools; adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Vice President of its Board of Governors, Alumni; teaching Second Amendment law, very active in political races working to elect strong Second Amendment people to state and federal office; Cochair Michigan Sportsmen for Bush: Treasurer of Sportsmen Against Prop 2; member and attorney for numerous conservation clubs; including Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners and President of its Foundation: strong advocate and spokesperson for women's participation in shooting sports.
