ANTI-GUN LEGISLATION MAY BE ON THE MOVE IN THE SENATE NEXT WEEK!

Anti-Gun Sen. Durbin (D-Ill.)

      While the anti-gunners in the House have been giving speeches about the need for more gun laws, anti-gunners in the Senate, led by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), were actively plotting to force a vote on an anti-gun amendment on the Senate floor, perhaps as early as Monday.

      Realizing their best chance to pass restrictions on our rights may be in hijacking other legislative vehicles pending in the Senate, the anti-gunners may push to amend the Senate's bankruptcy bill with legislation prohibiting firearm and ammunition manufacturers from filing for bankruptcy if they lose a reckless lawsuit.

      Clearly, this amounts to yet another back door, anti-gun scheme to further disadvantage lawful firearm and ammunition manufacturers in their battle to survive attacks in the form of such reckless litigation. It is critical that you contact your two U.S. Senators as soon as possible at (202) 224-3121, in opposition to any anti-gun amendments to the Senate bankruptcy bill or any other legislation.
