NRA-ENDORSED CANDIDATE WINS SPECIAL ELECTION IN CALIFORNIA

Congressman-Elect Joe Baca (D)

      NRA Defender of Freedom recipient State Senator Joe Baca (D), endorsed by NRA-PVF, won last Tuesday's special election to fill the unexpired term of the late Rep. George Brown, Jr. (D). Baca defeated pro-gun Republican Elia Pirozzi.

      Governor Gray Davis (D) has called for a January 11, 2000 special election primary to fill Baca's vacant Senate seat.
