Heston-LaPierre-Baker Tour Continues in Five States
Next week, NRA President Charlton Heston, NRA Executive Vice
President Wayne LaPierre, and NRA-ILA Executive Director James
Jay Baker will continue their "Get Out The Vote" (GOTV) tour (see
FAX Alert, Vol. 7, No. 42), this time stopping in
Arkansas,
Tennessee,
West Virginia, and
Wisconsin, and revisiting
Pennsylvania.
These states are among those referred to by
political pundits as "Battleground States," and could hold the
key to securing victory for the pro-Second Amendment community on
November 7.
The purpose of these rallies is to encourage NRA
members to help elect pro-gun, pro-freedom lawmakers on Nov. 7,
and we are counting on our members to show up in droves. A large
turnout will show candidates, and the "mainstream media," that
NRA members will be voting Freedom First on Nov. 7.
- Next week's
tour will start on Monday, Oct. 30, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at
the Regency Suites - KI Convention Center, from noon-1:30 p.m.,
then it will stop in the Country Inn Hotel & Conference Center in
Waukesha for a 6:00-7:30 p.m. rally.
- On Tuesday, Oct. 31, the
tour will first hit Erie, Pa., for a noon-1:30 p.m. rally at the
Rainbow Gardens, then fly to Beckley, W.Va., for a 6:00-7:30 p.m.
event at Conference Center at the Raleigh County Armory Civic
Center.
- Wednesday, Nov. 1, will bring your NRA leadership to
Tennessee, for rallies in Knoxville and Nashville. The Knoxville
event will be held at the Parker Sports Arena, and will run from
noon-1:30 p.m. Nashville's event will be held at the Opryland
Hotel, in the Governor's Ballroom, and is scheduled to run from
6:00-7:30 p.m.
- The final stop on this leg of NRA's GOTV Tour will
be on Thursday, Nov. 2, and the rally will be held in Bill
Clinton's own backyard of Hot Springs, Ark., at the Hot Springs
Civic and Convention Center. This event will run from 6:00-7:30
p.m.
NRA members in these areas are encouraged to attend the
event near them and show their support for NRA's leaders and our
efforts to elect pro-Second Amendment candidates on Nov. 7!
