SENATE GUN WRANGLING CONTINUES

As noted in last week's FAX Alert, the U.S. Senate is still considering S. 2 -- "The Educational Opportunities Act," and many "gun control" amendments remain very much alive. Therefore, it is critical that you continue to contact your U.S. Senators at (202) 224-3121, and urge them to oppose any and all "gun control" amendments to the Educational Opportunities Act, and ask them to concentrate their efforts on demanding that existing laws against violent criminals be strictly enforced.

You may also e-mail your Senators by using the "Write Your Reps" feature at www.NRAILA.org. Using this feature you can obtain your Senators' e-mail addresses and e-mail them directly from our site.

Also, this week, U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Cal.) introduced S. 2525 -- a bill to provide for the implementation of a licensing and registration system for purchasers of certain firearms. While not all of the details of Sen. Feinstein's bill are known yet, we will be sure to keep you posted of any related developments in future Alerts. The bill has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
